Richard Goodrum | Managing Partner - Co Founder

Mr. Goodrum is an entrepreneurial-spirited leader with over twenty-five years in real estate acquisitions, land development, building repurpose, asset repositioning, market feasibility, global sales, marketing, and operations management. He is a strategic, creative business planner with effective implementation and follow-through. His passion for both business and personal growth is presented in his attention to detail and successes. Mr. Goodrum has completed numerous hotel and resort feasibility studies to include single and multi-use land development, new urbanism and office/residential/hotel building repurpose. He is inspired by research, analytics, and artificial intelligence which is documented in his passion to complete business plans, product marketing presentations, asset valuations, executive summaries, source and use, draw schedules, project development presentations, budgets, project timelines, financial projections, CapX expenditure plans, and capital raise pitch decks both debt and equity.

He directs and supports company managed assets with both short-term and long-term goals to maximize asset values. Mr. Goodrum pioneers’ sales and operating teams within its’ managed asset portfolio for both new developments and operating facilities. Specific to hospitality, he has a personal track record in overseeing 50+ franchise and independent properties ranging from mid-scale to luxury hotels and destination resorts. He has solidified brand knowledge with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Wyndham, IHG, Choice, Best Western, Preferred Hotels and Resorts, Historic Hotels of America, Leading Hotels, Airbnb and other global brand and membership affiliations.

Mr. Goodrum has launched and pioneered several startup businesses with its core strength in hospitality real estate servicing and turnkey asset development to include the companies of BlueTop, Paradise Hotel Group and Wesley Hotel Group.

In the early decade of 2000, Mr. Goodrum held the position Vice President of Sales & Marketing during his four-year tenure with publicly traded, Ridgewood Hotels, Inc. and its’ primary brand, Chateau Élan Hotels & Resorts. He was deemed a turn-around specialist for under-performing assets within Ridgewood’s third party managed and receivership properties.

Prior to Ridgewood, Mr. Goodrum served as an awarded, multi-sales and marketing leader with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts both in local and national markets. He developed a strategic approach to identifying business, leisure, group customer needs and channeling those opportunities to meet the revenue goals of each property.

Mr. Goodrum has served other hospitality roles during his career to include Hotel General Manager, Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing, National Accounts Director, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Consultant. During college, he always had a passion to work towards his future. He invested time working for two years at an accounting and asset advisory firm working directly with CPA principals and managers. An additional two years, Mr. Goodrum embarked on a journey with an interior design firm as Operations Manager and Creative Design Support. His unique admiration for creative design both then and now hails from his family owned and operated design showroom for over 35 years.

Mr. Goodrum lives in Nashville, TN and is married with a daughter. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management and a Master of Business Administration. He continues to broaden his education via edX courses and programs both national and global.
